CEDARWEB Tools: Parameters

The CEDAR database parameter codes have the following components:

Code             Integer code used in data records
Long Name        Long description
Short Name       Short description (useful for plotting)
Prefix           Abbreviation used in inventory summaries
Scale            Multiplication factor used to convert integer code values to the indicated units
Units            Units
Notes            Notes of interest provided by the community

Notes:

1. In data records, the positive integer code refers to the datum, the negative integer code refers to its error.
2. The integer value multiplied by scale factor produces values in the specified units.
3. Value -32767 is the missing data code.
4. Error value -32766 implies the associated code value is assumed.
5. The example illustrates use of related code fields.
