Help:Security Exception

If you are logging in to the VSTO data portal for the first time, you might get a screen warning about a possible security risk. Once you accept the security exception, you shouldn't see the issue any more. Make sure to accept the security exception for this site, not just once. Below you will see screen shots from the three more popular web browsers (Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer) and how to move beyond this security warning. The security certificate is issued from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Firefox

1. Click on "I Understand the Risk"
2. Click on "Add Exception"

If you'd like, you can view the certificate. It is coming with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Safari

1. Click on "Continue" to get to the login screen

If you want to view the certificate, click on "Show Certificate". The certificate is with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Internet Explorer

1. Click on "Continue to this website (not recommended)" to get to the login screen.

If you would like to view the certificate you can click on "More Information".
